Video for Hong Kong Observatory

Since a discussion on Wednesday, I decided to take a project from Hong Kong Observatory. Thus my Negotiated Project will be making video introducing weather knowledge for Hong Kong Observatory like the video below as an episode of their programme.

This is challenging for me to produce an animation in 2-3 minutes. Hopefully I can find an efficient way to produce through more and more testing.

Land

This is a creative animation with a nature tone of color and delicated transform. For me this is a good example of color usage.

Red Spot

Through a cruel scene of the men, I was shocked that people are treating animals like this. Although I knew other similar cruel facts in the world, it still act as a warning and reminder for me.

The art in this video is acting great in giving its atmosphere, knowing that the theme is not easy, light and joyful. This make the video work for me and remember the cruel facts of human at the key plot that child turn into fur seal.

Character Emotion

As the first test, I drew it on the same paper which I cannot copy and follow the previous slide and it take more time for me to think of the middle face between each key face. 

It is clear that it would be easier if I do it by computer. Besides, giving more slides on facial expression would have a better result as it change less in motion compare to body actions, eg. walking, running...

Stop Motion

This test is more easy to produce than the character emotion as I simply use accessory to do.
